Dr. Megan LeFave:

Dr. LeFave is a native of California, growing up in Temecula. She attended Cal Poly Pomona where she obtained a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science. While at Cal Poly, she was active on the equestrian team and lived at the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center. While living at the horse center, she volunteered her time helping deliver foals and taking care of the large horse herd. Her education continued by attending UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Originally, she was planning on expanding her passion of horses, and opened an equine mobile practice in Southern California. She then found her true calling of emergency medicine and critical care. Dr. LeFave joined East Valley Emergency Pet Clinic in March of 2009. Not only is she an associate but also the hospital director. Dr. LeFave truly enjoys being able to help clients and their beloved pets. Her special interests include emergency surgery and patient care. She also enjoys working on exotic pets, such as rabbits, rats, mice, birds, guinea pigs and reptiles. During her free time she enjoys being with her husband, their four horses, two hound dogs and a Siamese cat. They can usually be found hiking, camping or out riding the horses.

Dr. Anne McDonald:

Growing up in Sacramento, Dr. McDonald developed her love of animals with her family dogs, cats, rats, mice, fish and frogs. She also spent her days riding horses as much as humanly possible. This love for all kinds of animals stayed with her, and although she graduated from Stanford with a degree in Italian, her goal was always to be a veterinarian. Dr. McDonald graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Following veterinary school she completed an internship in Exeter, CA. After working in day practice with mixed animals (dogs, cats and horses), she spent a year with her husband working in Fes, Morocco in a non-profit animal hospital. Upon returning to the United States, Dr. McDonald was lucky enough to become part of the East Valley Emergency Pet Clinic family. When not at work, she can be found hanging out with her two dogs and her husband who is also a veterinarian. They enjoy going for runs, exploring the local mountains with the dogs and living so close to Disneyland.

I had a great experience at this clinic. The staff and the vet were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. I'm glad that I found an emergency clinic with a great staff that cares about the animals.
